Daniel Bogdanovic paid tribute to his new team-mates after he marked his Rochdale debut with a goal in the 1-1 draw with Preston.

The 31-year-old Blackpool striker penned a one-month deal with Dale on Monday and earned his new side a point after netting the equaliser against North End in the League One encounter at Spotland. Bogdanovic told Rochdale's official website: "It was an absolute pleasure to play with these lads. I felt really good, they got me on the ball at the right times and at the right moments, and the movement of the other lads off the ball made my job easy so there are some nice prospects at this club." The Malta international admitted he had other loan offers, but chose Dale due to his familiarity with current caretaker assistant manager Ryan Kidd. The two worked together at Barnsley and Bogdanovic added: "A few other clubs came in to get me on loan but when Ryan called me I didn't have any second thoughts. "He has been a part of my life since I came to England, he and Simon Davey signed me at Barnsley and that's where my career turned so I came to help him, the gaffer and the lads and I'm ready to do my best."
