Scunthorpe have signed striker Connor Jennings from Blue Square Bet North side Stalybridge Celtic for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal at Glanford Park and becomes Alan Knill's first signing of the January transfer window. Jennings has been in fine form for Stalybridge this season, scoring 19 goals in 29 games and was handed a call-up to the England C squad in November. "I will always give it my all and will wear the badge with pride," Jennings told the club's official website. "There is a good set-up here and it's going to be a good step up from Stalybridge to League One for me. I know the manager has been watching me for a few games and it's led from that to me signing, so it's all exciting. "I feel I'm ready for the step up to League One. I've just got to train hard, get to know my bearings and take it from there."
