Robinson: Dons will learn

Karl Robinson put MK Dons' 4-2 defeat at Stevenage down to "five minutes of madness" but vowed his team will learn from their mistakes.

The dismissal of Mathias Kouo-Doumbe, when the score was 1-1 in Tuesday night's League One clash at Broadhall Way, led to the Dons' downfall as they went on to concede twice in the following four minutes. A late own goal from Gary MacKenzie then sealed their fate. "I thought we started the game better then they got back into it with their goal, but I thought we were on the front foot at the start of the second half," Robinson said. "But it was five minutes of madness that did it for us and I'm sorry for the fans that travelled because we weren't good enough. "Their first came from a silly defensive mistake and then we killed the game off late on with an own goal." Robinson was unhappy with Stevenage's tactics, adding: "For Mathias' first yellow card, for handball, he was pushed and that's what Stevenage do, they foul you first. We respond to it and then the free-kick's given against us. "People need to wise up to the way they play, but you need to give them enormous credit because they won the game and they deserved to in the end. I'm not bitter about that at all and we learn our lessons from it."
