Glovers avoid Routledge offer

Yeovil will not be offering a contract to trialist Jon Routledge, manager Gary Johnson has confirmed.

Stockport midfielder Routledge spent this week with the Glovers looking to earn a deal, but Johnson has decided he is not the right man for him at present. He told the Western Gazette: "We were quite strong in that area and it was not necessarily a priority. "He is a midfield player but we have got Dean Parrett in now, Gavin Williams is coming back to fitness and we have got Ed Upson. "Unfortunately, we had to say no but he will find himself a bit further up north nearer his home."
