Westley slams slack defence

Preston boss Graham Westley was disappointed after watching his side throw away the lead to lose 2-1 at Tranmere.
Graham Cummins headed Preston in front after 12 minutes but Tranmere hit straight back through an Enoch Showunmi header and sealed victory in the 67th minute when Andy Robinson netted in off a post. "We appear to take a couple of steps forward and then go backwards," said Westley. "We started brightly and got a good goal from a set-piece on which we have worked hard. It was disappointing to concede so quickly afterwards and particularly in the manner it happened. "Tranmere showed more fight than us in the second half and that was disappointing for me. "It should have been a good confidence boost when we got ahead but they reacted quickly and our work in defence should have been better when they got a second goal."
