Crewe's new defender Mark Ellis has admitted his delight at signing for a "big club" following his move from Torquay earlier this week.
The 23-year-old agreed a two-year deal with the club bringing an end to a five-year stay with the Gulls. "I'm very pleased to sign for a good club, a big club and a League One club. It's a great opportunity for me," Ellis told The Sentinel. "It was a tough decision to leave Torquay, but I was obviously out of contract there and when I had a call from Steve I was immediately interested. "The facilities are fantastic and the chance to play in League One was a big opportunity for me. "Every player wants to play at the highest level possible and obviously I am no different."
