Yeovil young guns learn lessons

Yeovil boss Gary Johnson has told his players they must improve following a second successive league defeat, 1-0 at MK Dons.

Dons super-sub Charlie MacDonald netted a late winner to end his 19-game goal drought, racing clear to coolly slot the ball home 15 minutes from the end to sink the Glovers and maintain the Dons' 100% home record. Johnson said: "We're still young and inexperienced as a team and this is the second defeat on the trot by the odd goal. Bournemouth well beat us but I wouldn't say that was the case here. We were in it, we had a good shape but we just gave the ball away too often. "They were very good at it, although I didn't think they particularly had any more chances. They had a little bit of territorial play but at one point in the second half it looked like we had a bit of an opportunity when we had two good chances after half-time. "We've told them we need to improve if we're going to do well against the better sides. It takes a big discussion after every defeat to learn what it is that we need to improve on. "They were a very disappointed group of lads, but it's still early doors and we're still above Milton Keynes."
