Barker lauds Crawley character

Crawley manager Richie Barker admitted his side rode their luck at times during Saturday's 1-1 draw at Notts County.

Magpies skipper Neal Bishop put the hosts ahead in the 12th minute after fantastic play by Jamal Campbell-Ryce before Jonathan Forte equalised just before half-time to give the visitors a point. Barker said: "I'm pleased with the character we showed. I'm a bit disappointed as I think we showed them a bit too much respect, especially at the start of the first half. "We rode our luck in 10-minute spells in the first half and the second half when they missed chances but we created some chances as well. "I'm also a bit disappointed with our defending from crosses. I thought they had two pretty good chances with headers which we have to have a look at and have a think about. "They stuck at their task well though as Notts were flying when they came out but you would expect that with back-to-back wins this week."
