Kavanagh content after draw

Carlisle boss Graham Kavanagh is adamant the 0-0 draw with Tranmere will be the last time they fail to score this season.

The Cumbrians created several chances but could either not find a way past Owain Fon Williams or failed to test the Rovers goalkeeper. Kavanagh's men remain level on 40 points with Tranmere, Notts County and Crewe but are in the relegation zone courtesy of a inferiour goal difference "We will be stronger after this performance and I believe we can get the goals to keep us safe," said Kavanagh. "There will be plenty of ups and downs before the end of the season. "There is a bit of pressure and that creates difficult circumstances to play under. Tranmere started brightly but we matched them for effort and work rate. "We stuck in there and we could have nicked it at the end. In the second half I thought we were the side that showed the extra quality. "I was really pleased with the efforts of the players. They were honest and determined and gave their absolute maximum. "We didn't create as many opportunities as we have done in recent games but our all-round performance was good. "I had hoped we could have passed the ball a little better in the final third which would have resulted in us getting at Tranmere's back four more often."
