Lewington to reach Dons landmark

Dean Lewington is set to become the first ever player to reach 500 appearances for MK Dons in Saturday's game at Rotherham.

The left-back, who played in the Dons' first ever competitive fixture back in 2004, has missed just 45 games in over 10 seasons with the League One side. Lewington told MK Dons Player: "It makes you look back and realise how long you've been playing. "I've been very lucky, I was put in the team at a relatively young age and since then I've been lucky with injuries and obviously been lucky that managers have liked me, which helps as well. "It's quite a big achievement especially coming before I turn 30, but it'll just be another game."
