Garratt staying positive

Ben Garratt has stressed that Crewe's players are in a positive frame of mind ahead of their final game of the season.

Alex must win at home against Preston to make sure of their League One survival, while anything less will give Tranmere the chance to leapfrog them to safety. Goalkeeper Garratt, who has kept clean sheets in the club's last two games, is expecting a big test test from a Preston side who are assured of a play-off place but need a victory to seal a third-placed finish. However, the 20-year-old believes Crewe have it in them to pull off a victory. "Everyone is focused on remaining in League One and we remain confident that we will do with it with the right result on Saturday," Garratt told the club's official website. "We certainly feel we are good enough to play at this level and we want to get this season out of the way and push on next year. "We are all staying positive because our recent form has given us this opportunity. Our destiny is in our own hands. "We know Preston are a tough side, they are third and have been consistent all season, but every game is tough. There is a lot riding on this one and we will prepare as we always do and aim to get the three points."
