Oldham have confirmed the permanent signing of defender Joseph Mills on a two-year deal.
Mills, 24, who made 15 appearances for the Latics last season while on loan from Burnley, becomes manager Lee Johnson's first summer signing. "It's a great signing. He's young, hungry and has got a lot of potential," Johnson told the club's official website. "We'll give him an identity and a bit of love and I feel he can be a really good player for us." Left-back Mills began his career at Southampton and moved on to Reading in August 2011 after loan spells at Scunthorpe and Doncaster. He joined Burnley on a free transfer in May last year after a stint on loan, but played no part at Turf Moor last season and instead went out on loan to Oldham and Shrewsbury.
