Scunthorpe have reached agreement with Hull to extend Conor Townsend's loan spell at Glanford Park until the end of the season.

Defender Townsend, 22, joined Scunthorpe for an initial month at the end of February and has made five appearances for the club. Townsend, who can also play in midfield, made his only appearance to date for Hull off the substitutes' bench in a Capital One Cup win at Leyton Orient in August 2013. He has started in Scunthorpe's last two matches - defeats at Rochdale and Sheffield United - and has had previous loan spells at Grimsby, Chesterfield, Carlisle and Dundee United.
