Wilcox unhappy with late goal

Scunthorpe boss Russ Wilcox slammed referee Fred Graham for missing a handball in the build-up to Wycombe's equaliser in the 1-1 draw.
Ten-man Wanderers snatched a 1-1 draw at the death when Leon Johnson headed home from five yards after they had Josh Scowen sent off midway through the second half for two yellow cards within five minutes. Just after the break, Scunthorpe were on course for a fourth straight league win since Brian Laws was sacked and heading into the top three after 37-year-old Deon Burton stroked home his second of the season from 12 yards. Wycombe were in trouble when Scowen saw red but keeper Matt Ingram denied Sam Winnall and David Syers before Johnson made the Iron pay at the death. Wilcox, however, claims that Wycombe's Dean Morgan handled the ball in the build-up, pinning the blame on Mr Graham. He said: "I'm looking at the bigger picture - 10 points out of the last four games and three of those away, but the only disappointment, I thought, was the officials. "Six minutes was up, the fourth official told him it's time and earlier it was a clear handball from Morgan in the build-up. "I feel aggrieved about the handball. Morgan's clearly grabbed it with both hands and that's what I mean about them working as a team. The fourth official told him on his earpiece but the referee has clearly ignored him and carried on. "All I've got is praise for the players. They're disappointed but they've been absolutely outstanding. "However, you have to give Wycombe credit for their never-say-die attitude. Much like their manager, he was that sort of player when we were at Preston together."
