Midfielder Marc Laird has agreed terms on a one-year deal with Yeovil to be reunited with manager Paul Sturrock.

Laird was a free agent following the end of his 12-month contract at Tranmere, who were relegated out of the Football League in April. The 29-year-old's former clubs include Millwall and Leyton Orient and he played under current Glovers boss Sturrock at Southend. "Marc was my first signing of the close season," Sturrock said on Yeovil's official website. "I know all about him from our time together at Southend United. "He supported the front men well at Southend and I have that job earmarked for him here at Huish Park. "I think the fans will find his play very pleasing on the eye."
