Moore believes in Akpa Akpro

Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore has reiterated his belief that Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro has the ability to perform at the highest level.
Akpa Akpro has starred for Moore's League One pacesetters since joining from Rochdale in the summer. A midweek brace against Scunthorpe took the forward's goal tally to seven for the season and Moore is delighted to be working with a player he admired while in charge of Rotherham and during his previous spell at Prenton Park. "For ages I tried to get him," he said. "I couldn't get him when he was at Grimsby, then he was at Rochdale and for some reason I just could never afford to get him in. "When I actually worked with him and saw the pace he's got and all this desire...he's 27 now and I think he should be getting 20 goals a season at this level. "Now I honestly believe he can play higher. How high? Well the rest is down to him. I could see him playing at the very top level, but it's very, very hard for a 27-year-old to go up to that level."
