Horwood makes Cobblers move

Northampton have signed defender Evan Horwood on loan from Tranmere for the remainder of the season.
The full-back has made 22 appearances for Rovers since moving to Prenton Park over the summer. However, he has not featured since January and is yet to appear under John McMahon, taking charge of first-team affairs following boss Ronnie Moore's suspension. "Evan needs games and his opportunities here have been limited so this loan move is in everyone's interests," McMahon told Tranmere's official website. "We're looking at the loan market ourselves and the areas we feel need strengthening and hopefully we'll be able to bring someone in before Thursday's deadline."
