Tranmere have signed James Norwood following the striker's release by Forest Green.
Norwood, FGRs all-time leading scorer in the Conference, was a free agent after spending four full seasons at the New Lawn. He becomes Gary Brabin's first signing as Rovers manager and the 24-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year contract. "He was someone I knew I wanted to bring to the club the day I became manager," said Brabin. "He's got a good scoring record in the Conference and I know he can get better. "But he's got more than goals to his game - he's someone who will work his socks off up front and make life difficult for the opposition. "He had interest from League One and League Two clubs but he wanted to be a part of our plans here and I'm really pleased to be able to add him to my squad."
