Manager Steve Davis wants to extend Jamie Lowry's loan spell from Chesterfield, saying he has improved since joining the Crewe.
Lowry has been on loan at Gresty Road since the end of November but his stay is set to expire this week. Davis has been delighted with the 24-year-old's form since he joined the club and plans to talk to Spireites counterpart John Sheridan about extending the deal. "You never know what you will get with loans but Jamie has done excellent," Davis told the Crewe Chronicle. "He has got better as he has got fitter and I am delighted with his contribution - his free-kicks have the ability to provide threat. "We need to make a decision at the end of this week on Jamie so we will be in touch with Chesterfield with a view to extending it." Lowry has made eight starts and one substitute appearance during his time at Crewe.
