Green wings in for Spitfires

Port Vale defender Mike Green is set to leave Vale Park for Blue Square Bet side Eastleigh for a month on loan.
Green will link up with the Spitfires on Friday ahead of their trip to Welling United the following day. The 22-year-old's opportunities have been limited after recovering from the hamstring injury he suffered in training last month. Vale boss Micky Adams told the club's official website: "Mike has been struggling with injury recently so we have decided to let him get some first-team football. "The move is a chance for him to regain full match fitness and we will monitor his progress very closely." Green joined Vale from Zamaretto Premier League outfit AFC Totton on a two-year deal in the summer.
