Adams ashamed after defeat

Port Vale boss Micky Adams admitted he was "embarrassed" to be dumped out of the FA Cup after their 1-0 defeat to Grimsby.
The Mariners earned a second-round trip to Blue Square Bet South side Salisbury thanks to Serge Makofo's second-half winner to leave Adams questioning his side's passion. He said: "I am bitterly disappointed, embarrassed and shocked - but that is cup football for you. "We have been knocked out of the cup so as I have said to the boys it is an embarrassing night for us. "As the manager I have to take responsibility, and I will do, but I am getting it wrong somewhere and I will have to look at myself before I criticise the players. "Some of the body language, some of the comments I hear amongst themselves, they are not right. What disappoints me the most is our attitude - do we really care enough about it?"
