Adams hails four-goal Pope

Port Vale boss Micky Adams praised "awesome" striker Tom Pope after he scored four goals against his former club Rotherham.
Vale fan Pope only scored four league goals in 53 appearances during a dismal two years with the Millers spent in the shadow of the prolific Adam Le Fondre. But he was in inspired form at Vale Park, netting four and being involved in Louis Dodds and Ashley Vincent's strikes, with his old employers netting through Michael O'Connor and Daniel Nardiello's penalty. Adams said: "Popey's been awesome all season and that's largely down to him. "He's always had a questionable lifestyle and he likes a pint, like we all do. But he really knuckled down in pre-season when we got him as fit as possible and now he's reaping the rewards. "He will get all the headlines and perhaps rightly so, but let's not forget this was a terrific all-round performance by the team."
