Byrom checks in at Northampton

Joel Byrom has signed for Northampton until the end of the season following his release from League One side Preston.
The 28-year-old midfielder has spent most of the campaign at Sixfields on loan but has now penned a deal after his Deepdale exit. Byrom has scored once in 23 games for the League Two Cobblers and had been at Preston for two-and-a-half years.
