Brighton are taking no chances with the fitness of Spanish defender Inigo Calderon.
Spanish defender stepping up rehab after knee injury
Brighton will not rush Spanish defender Inigo Calderon back after a knee injury.
The 29-year-old full-back was expected to miss a month and recently stepped up his training ahead of a scheduled comeback in the New Year.
"Calderon will just take a certain amount of time," said manager Gus Poyet.
"We knew when he got injured it would take between four and six weeks for him to be back to normal and he is right on time.
"He is running outside but he needs the full amount of time for his knee to heal properly. We don't want any problems with him."
