Slade not happy with draw

Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade is disappointed despite his side going eight games unbeaten with a 1-1 home draw with Hartlepool.

Dean Cox had given Orient the half-time lead with his seventh goal of the campaign but the visitors levelled when Neil Austin converted a penalty after 54 minutes. And the north-east side were forced to play out the final 19 minutes with 10 men after Paul Murray was dismissed for a second bookable offence. "It was disappointing because we've got the momentum now and are starting to play better but we've not quite delivered," said Slade. "We knew it would be a tight game. We'd prepared all week and knew what to expect. There would be a bit of a bombardment, we knew that set-plays were going to be a bit of a problem for us, that they would get the ball forward and we'd have to deal with long throws. "We are not the biggest side in the world so those things could present a problem but by and large, we have defended well. I'm disappointed we didn't clear the ball which led to their goal particularly as I thought it would be a tight game, probably 1-0, and if I am critical - which I need to be - I will say that we lacked that little bit of quality at the right time."
