Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade was delighted to land defender Dean Leacock from Championship outfit Derby County.

The 27-year-old Londoner agreed a deal until the end of the season over the weekend and should make his debut against Preston next Saturday. "He has a fine pedigree having played all his career in the Premier League and the Championship," said Slade. "We had to bide our time and work hard to get our man and we're looking forward to seeing him in a red and white shirt. His determination to get his football back on track has impressed me. "He can play either at centre-back or right-back and has also played as a sitting midfielder in the Championship." Slade has also given Tunisian defender Syam Ben Youssef a contract until the end of the season.
