Torquay v Cheltenham preview

Team news ahead of Torquay's League Two clash against Cheltenham at Plainmoor on Boxing Day.
Torquay host Cheltenham with a full squad available for selection. Manager Paul Buckle has no injuries or suspensions to contend with so could name an unchanged line-up from the last fixture at Chesterfield. That match ended in a 1-0 defeat for the Gulls, so Buckle will be desperate for his side to get back on track against the Robins, with the onus once again on Elliot Benyon to get the goals. If Benyon does find his 10th goal of the season and Torquay are victorious, the club could leapfrog Wycombe into sixth place. The Gulls are without a home win since late October and have not scored more than one goal at Plainmoor since the 3-1 victory over Morecambe. Defender Lathaniel Rowe-Turner is due to line up against the club where he spent a period on loan two years ago. Josh Low remains Cheltenham's only absentee ahead of their Boxing Day trip to Torquay. The wide man sustained a hamstring injury during last Tuesday's 2-0 defeat to Southend and will miss the forthcoming festive schedule as he recovers. JJ Melligan is favourite to take his place and will be hoping to get the nod at Plainmoor as the Robins, who lost three and drew one of four meetings with Torquay last term, strive to get back to winning ways. Manager Mark Yates has no other injury, suspension or illness worries to contend with as he looks to mark his one-year anniversary in the Cheltenham hotseat with all three points. Victory for eighth-placed Town would see them leapfrog the Gulls and move into League Two's play-off places.
