Cheltenham midfielder Michael Pook has left the club with immediate effect after coming to an agreement to end his contract a year early.

The 25-year-old was placed on the transfer list this summer but an agreement has now been reached to terminate the player's contract one year early, making the player a free agent. Pook joined the Robins after being released by Swindon in the summer of 2009. The former club captain made 69 appearances for Cheltenham, scoring six goals, which included a hat-trick in a 6-5 victory over Burton in March last year.
