Cheltenham's Neil Howarth says the club's depth made it easy to win Torquay 2-1 in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
Youngsters Harry Hooman and Sido Jombati made their first starts, two of the five changes from the side that saw off Crawley at the weekend. "We wanted to keep building the momentum and that's what we have done," said assistant manager Howarth. "It's about breeding good habits and it was a good night's workout for us. "We were lucky enough to be able to leave a few out, but it was still a really good, strong team. "People like Jimmy Spencer, Luke Summerfield and Brian Smikle coming in are established first-team players for me but they have not played as much as they'd have liked so far. "The gaffer has been talking about building a stronger squad and we've shown we have that."
