Battling Hereford stopped Chesterfield in their tracks with their best performance of the season earning a 3-0 home victory.
A 10th minute strike from Stuart Fleetwood set up the victory against the League Two leaders. Midfielder Steve Leslie lashed home Hereford's second in the 75th minute from long range before Joe Colbeck rifled home the Bulls third from 18 yards. Hereford's early onslaught eventually paid off in the 10th minute when striker Fleetwood headed into the net with goalkeeper Tommy Lee stranded. Hereford remained in command and made certain of victory with two goals in five minutes from Leslie and Colbeck to keep the Bulls clear of the relegation places.
