Millers eye McLeod signing

Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore has declared his interest in signing former Charlton striker Izale McLeod.

The 25-year-old was released by the Addicks in the summer and has yet to find a new club after an unsuccessful trial with Brentford. Moore is desperate to sign a new striker following injuries to Tom Pope and Ryan Taylor and he has offered terms to Jon Macken and enquired about his son Ian Thomas-Moore. Moore was keen for McLeod to come to Don Valley on a trial basis, but that could prove a stumbling block in any potential move. "I've spoken to Izale and his agent," Moore told the club's official website. "Basically I wanted to have a look at him first but at the moment his agent is not too keen on that, so we will have to monitor the situation and see how it goes."
