Millers swap hard for Patto

Darren Patterson has revealed that swapping Bristol Rovers for Rotherham was the hardest decision of his career.
The Millers last week appointed the Rovers youth-team coach as their new assistant manager on a three-year deal. He becomes reunited with Rotherham manager Andy Scott, who was his team-mate during the pair's playing days at Oxford. Patterson told Rovers' official website: "This was the hardest football decision I have ever had to make. It took me two to three weeks to deliberate and finally make the decision to move on. "But it is an itch I need to scratch, as I believe I have more to offer and this was too good an opportunity for me to turn down. "I worked with Andy Scott at Brentford before I came here, he is a talented coach and manager and I look forward to working with him again. Rotherham are a club who really want to go somewhere and I want to be part of that."
