U's boss swoops for Craddock

Oxford United boss Chris Wilder has completed the signing of striker Tom Craddock from Luton Town for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old Middlesbrough academy graduate was the Hatters' top scorer last season with 24 goals in all competitions though his efforts failed to get Luton back into the Football League. He has previously had loan spells with Wrexham and Hartlepool. "Tom is a player who we have admired for some time," said Wilder on the club's official website. "He has pace, an eye for goal and bags of ability. "He has been a consistent scorer for the last two seasons and has done it at this level before." Craddock becomes Oxford's second deadline-day capture following the earlier loan move for Doncaster midfielder Josh Payne.
