Torquay have taken QPR striker Ramone Rose on trial after he impressed in the reserves' 3-2 win over Plymouth.
After defender Joe Oastler also joined on loan from the Hoops last week, manager Paul Buckle is likely to ask Neil Warnock if he can acquire the 20-year-old on a short-term loan deal to bolster his striking options and try to end his side's 10 game winless streak.
