Colbeck hails free-scoring Bulls

Joe Colbeck saluted Hereford's killer instinct as they brushed aside runaway league leaders Chesterfield on Saturday.

Midfielder Colbeck was among the goals himself, netting the third in a headline-grabbing 3-0 victory after Stuart Fleetwood and Steve Leslie had already rocked the Spireites on an afternoon when victory would have seen the visitors promoted. "I think we've been playing really well and have been really solid the last few weeks but just not getting the goals, but on Saturday we were really solid and when we had chances to score we put them away," Colbeck told the club's official website. The 24-year-old certainly displayed a cutting edge for his fifth goal of the campaign, turning neatly on the halfway line before racing towards the edge of the penalty area and firing an unstoppable shot into the far top corner past the stranded Tommy Lee. He added: "Last time I scored people said it was a cross, but this time I shot and it ended up in the top corner. I've been very lucky."
