Coleman rues Stanley luck

Accrington boss John Coleman was left frustrated after his side crashed to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Southend on Saturday.
Liam Dickinson opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the first minute for Southend and Ryan Hall scored the winner in the 67th minute. In between Accrington's Andy Procter equalised on 40 minutes, while Stanley ended the game with 10 men with Kevin McIntyre sent off for a second bookable offence in injury-time. His side had got back in it through Procter and, at the end, the Stanley skipper hit the bar, Peter Murphy scuffed a close range shot and Dean Winnard headed over as they searched for an equaliser. "That's just our luck at the moment," said Coleman, "It's perhaps a bit of a naivety on our part as their player goes down, gets a penalty in the first minute, our player is pushed but stays on his feet and the chance goes. "We were poor in the first half, they stretched us without having too many chances. In the second half, it was a freak goal, rebounding off our defender's knee. They have hardly been near our goal and we had the lions share of the play but didn't take our chances."
