Brown backs Midson to shine

Boss Terry Brown has tipped Jack Midson to bag 20 goals this season after inspiring AFC Wimbledon to 4-1 win over Cheltenham.

Midson notched his side's third after Ricky Wellard and an own goal from Steve Elliott had put the Dons two-up, while Rashid Yussuff added the fourth before Darryl Duffy pulled one back for Cheltenham. And Brown believes Midson, who was pursued by Cheltenham in the summer, will continue on the goal trail as the season unfolds. "Jack Midson has been set a target of 20 goals and he is more than capable of getting that," he said. "He does more than that, holding the ball up for us, and I was really pleased with him and a lot of others today. His all-round game is excellent and it's fantastic that he's scoring some goals as well."
