Fleetwood Town striker George Donnelly has rejoined Macclesfield on a two-month loan deal with a view to a permanent stay.

The 23-year-old ex-Plymouth Argyle forward initially joined the Silkmen for a month in September, scoring twice in six starts. However, emergency loan rules stating that a player can only be registered with a club for 93 days between transfer windows have meant an enforced three-week spell on the sidelines for Donnelly. The former Liverpool trainee has spend the period training with Gary Simpson's squad, during which time he has recovered from a rib injury that hindered his previous two first-team appearances.
