Daggers move for Cunnington

Dagenham & Redbridge have snapped up Kettering striker Adam Cunnington on loan with a view to a permanent deal in January.
The powerful frontman, 24, will remain on loan at Victoria Road until January 2, when his move will be turned into a fixed transfer. Cunnington featured for a host of fellow non-league clubs before making the switch from Solihull Moors to Kettering in January this year. Following a barren spell over the second half of last season, he has scored five goals in 13 starts for the Poppies this term and it is that record which alerted three sides to his services ahead of the close of Thursday's loan window, with Daggers seeing off the competition. Manager John Still said: "Adam is a player who I was very interested in bringing here when he was playing for Solihull Moors, unfortunately at that time it just couldn't be done and he ended up going to Kettering. "He's a big lad with good movement, ambitious and he wants to do well. He impressed me very much when I met up with him and I think he can bring something to us that perhaps we've been missing. He's certainly a presence and I'm certain he'll have a successful time here at Dagenham & Redbridge."
