Swindon manager Paolo Di Canio was quick to laud the performance of Jake Jervis in a 2-0 League Two victory over Aldershot.
Jervis netted his first goal at the County Ground since joining on loan from Birmingham at the end of September, before Darren Jones' own goal sealed all three points for the Robins. He said: "I am really happy for Jake, I have been telling him for a month he needs to attack the six-yard box more and finally he started doing it here. "It's taken a while but he is a young fella and he will continue to learn. But at last he showed a true glimpse of his full potential." The Italian also hoped that the victory was a step in the right direction in the play-off race, as the home side extended their unbeaten run to 11 games in all competitions. "If we keep going like this we are going to be in a great position for the second-half of the season," said Di Canio. "I am not satisfied quite yet but if we keep working hard and playing as a team then our position in the table will look after itself."
