Kee injury doubt for Brewers

Leading scorer Billy Kee is an injury concern for Burton ahead of the League Two trip to Crawley at the weekend.

The in-form striker is rated as doubtful because of a persistent groin problem. Kee was sent for a scan after complaining of discomfort and it revealed the injury may be more serious than a strain. The Northern Ireland Under-21 international, who has scored 11 goals in 10 starts since his £20,000 move from Torquay in August, has been hampered by the injury for around a month. Albion boss Paul Peschisolido told the Burton Mail: "We thought Billy should have a scan as a precaution and it has showed up a slight tear in the muscle. "Obviously we don't want to be without him at Crawley if at all possible because he's absolutely flying at the moment. "But we also have to be mindful of making the injury worse than it already is, so at this stage I think we've got to assume he's a doubt."
