Accrington v Torquay preview

Team news ahead of Saturday's League Two clash between Accrington Stanley and Torquay at the Crown Ground.
Accrington are without defender Sean Hessey for the home tie. The 33-year-old defender collected his fifth booking of the season as Stanley chalked up their first away victory this term at AFC Wimbledon last weekend and must consequently serve a one-match ban. It will be Hessey's second spell on the sidelines through suspension in the current campaign after he was sent off in the 2-2 draw with Plymouth in October. On-loan Blackburn forward Micah Evans will be assessed ahead of the game after picking up a minor knock in training. Evans, 19, marked his Reds debut with a goal in the 2-1 home triumph over Bristol Rovers but has not scored since and last featured against Dagenham at the end of last month. Ian Craney is targeting a return from his broken leg in one of the Christmas fixtures, while Alan Burton remains out following his double hernia operation last week. Defender Brian Saah has been ruled out of Torquay's trip, despite making a remarkably quick recovery from a groin injury. Saah was originally expected to be sidelined for at least six weeks after picking up the knock during the 3-1 victory over Plymouth on November 19, but the club are now targeting the Boxing Day match against Swindon as a potential comeback date for the 24-year-old. Gulls boss Martin Ling will be without captain Lee Mansell, however, as the midfielder serves a one-match ban after accumulating five bookings over the course of the season. Full-back Kevin Nicholson will skipper the side at the Crown Ground, while Ian Morris is likely to take Mansell's place in midfield.
