Pitman pleased with point

Hereford manager Jamie Pitman was pleased to come away from the Kassam Stadium with a point after his side drew 2-2 with Oxford.

In a bizarre game, U's centre-half Michael Duberry scored three times. The former Chelsea and Leeds defender chalked up two own goals before getting a late equaliser at the right end to go some way to making amends. Pitman said: "It was a great result for us and a bit like deja-vu from last season (when Hereford won 2-0). I'm slightly disappointed that it's only a draw and not a win but overall I'm delighted to get a point. "Both our goals came from Joe Colbeck crosses and that was something we had worked on. But we not only got good balls into the box, we put pressure on and that's what counted as well. "Oxford had a lot of chances but we had good opportunities too. We had a one-on-one with Yoann Arquin and another cleared from just in front of the line. "This league is all about taking the opportunities when you get the momentum. We never really had any momentum, to be honest, but we got the goals."
