Burton have signed Lionel Ainsworth on loan from Shrewsbury until the end of the season.
Winger Ainsworth has made 64 appearances for the Shrews since arriving from Huddersfield in the summer of 2010, but has struggled to nail down a place in the first team this year - making just three appearances in 2012. Brewers boss Paul Peschisolido is delighted with his latest acquisition, who could play a part in the clash with Port Vale in npower League Two on Tuesday. He said: "He's a player who we've admired for quite some time. He's a bundle of energy and he's got plenty of pace. He's got end-product and he weighs in with goals as well. "He's still only 24 years old. He's somebody who we've looked at bringing in for quite some time but obviously, because of his quality, Shrewsbury were very reluctant to let him out. "We're in a situation where we need a spark. We want to get out of the rut."
