Wembley defeat hard for Risser

Image: Risser: Disappointed after defeat

Oliver Risser is lamenting Swindon's Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Chesterfield at Wembley.

Risser admitted it was hard to look forward to what should be an enjoyable end to the Robins' season in the immediate aftermath of their defeat. Risser, who became the first Namibian to play at the famous venue, put through his own net to open the scoring in the Spireites' favour as the npower League One club saw off their lower-level opponents 2-0 under the national stadium's arch. Swindon stand on course to claim the League Two title this term, but with the emotion of defeat still very raw, Risser struggled to pick out the positives. "After a loss like that you don't see these things," he said. "The defeat is very hard on us and a disappointment to all of us. The stage is fantastic but it is a game you have to win or you die. We didn't win so that is the most disappointing thing for us. "Right now after the game it's hard to look forward but obviously you think about the game and what you could have done better and should have done better, but then we'll focus on Bristol (Rovers, Swindon's opponents in their next league match). "It's a new start next year and obviously being here is fantastic. You want to get here and I'd love to come (again). That's what we want and we did it this year so next year's a new start and maybe we can do it again."
