Robins ease Esajas into exit

Swindon have cancelled the contract of midfielder Etienne Esajas by mutual consent after a dismal spell since joining from the Owls.

The Dutchman joined the club in the summer of 2011 after a spell with Sheffield Wednesday. Esajas made nine appearances for the Robins last season, the last of them as a substitute against Bristol Rovers in December. The 27-year-old is now able to join another club as a free agent.
