Fortune and Barnet part company

Out-of-favour Barnet defender Jonathan Fortune has left the struggling League Two club by mutual consent.

The 32-year-old former Charlton centre-half was made Bees captain at the start of the season, having previously been at Exeter. But Fortune made only eight appearances for the London outfit before falling out of favour, although he was an unused substitute in the defeat by Aldershot on New Year's Day. Fortune, who has also played for Mansfield, Stoke and Sheffield United, is now free to find another club.
