Striker Charlie Sheringham has not been offered a new contract at AFC Wimbledon and will leave the club.

The 26-year-old suffered a nasty ankle injury shortly after joining the Dons in June 2013 and has struggled to break into the side since returning to action. Speaking to the club's website, boss Neal Ardley said: "From Charlie's point of view he feels he probably never got a good run in the team and rightly so. It was stop-start for him after he suffered a bad injury. "From my point of view we had a bit of a striker crisis throughout the season and we were not scoring enough goals." Sheringham spent time on loan at Salisbury during the second half of the 2013/14 season and will now be looking for a new club.
