Partridge relishing chance

New Dagenham signing Matt Partridge is hoping the move to the London club will see his career take off.
The versatile defender has so far had quite a nomadic existence, with loan spells at Bognor Regis and Basingstoke his only experience of first team football following a frustrating spell at Reading. But he is hoping the move to Daggers will be a crucial education for him. "There was a big squad at Reading and I was in the Under-21 side and went on loan to get some experience and games under my belt. I feel it's broadened my experience to come here and get some first team experience," Partridge told the Daggers' official website. "Last season I went to Basingstoke and played centre-midfield so I feel like I've got a good amount to offer the team. "I'm looking forward to being involved and potentially playing this evening. It'll be good to get to meet all the lads."
