Exeter have announced that defender Scot Bennett has been handed the captain's armband.
The 23-year-old, who has played more than 100 times for the Grecians since graduating from their academy, wore the armband for the second half of the 1-0 friendly defeat to Reading on Tuesday evening and has been confirmed as the replacement for Danny Coles.
Coles was removed as captain, put on the transfer list and fined two weeks wages for swearing at a supporter on Twitter.
